Stonker started with an idea to create a fun-filled, light-hearted and engaging way to teach young people about the stock and options markets. What we found was that the games we created are fun and engaging for people of all ages and levels of experience. Or at least we think so. :P

How It Works

Our games allow players to place virtual bets that pay out (or not) based on the performance of selected stocks over a short period of time. A “short period of time” means as short as a few seconds to as long as one week.

Every day you get seven new tickets. Each ticket allows you to place one new virtual bet in one of our featured games. Each new virtual bet is designed to pay out exactly on Tendie on average. But the ultimate outcome can be highly uncertain. Many virtual bets will not pay out at all. Some bets can pay out as many and 250 Tendies if you’re really lucky.

All virtual bets settle at the market close (4:00 PM New York time) on the date determined at the time the bet is made. If your predictions are correct, you earn Tendies. If not, well, you have more tickets coming tomorrow.

Payouts offered on new virtual bets are determined by our proprietary algorithms and are updated in real time based on the real-world prices of stocks and options in the marketplace. This creates a virtual live trading environment. That’s right, we pay for live data feeds to allow for fantasy betting linked to real-world prices.

You can also close out active bets before they settle to lock in gains and/or to redeem part of your ticket so it can be used toward another bet. The close-out values for active bets are determined by the same algorithms and data feeds that set the payouts on new bets.

Some virtual bets are highly-levered, meaning their value can make dramatic swings over short periods of time. Others not as much. You get to choose. But either way, don’t worry, you’re not playing with real money.

So have some fun, take some virtual risks, see if you can beat our proprietary pricing algorithms, outperform your friends (or have fun trying), and learn a little in the process. There is no losing in Stonker.

Stonk vs Stonk

Five different pairs of stonks are matched off against one another (for example, SPY vs QQQ). Choose a match and tell us which stonk will outperform the other.

Horse Race

Fourteen stonks are in a race for the highest total return. Make win, place or show bets on stonks you like. Make lose, noplace and noshow bets on stonks you don't like.

Price Target

Pick a stonk and date. Tell us what the price of your stonk will be at the market close on the date you selected. Earn Tendies based on the accuracy of your prediction.

Player Opinion

Pick a stonk and a date. How will it perform between now and the market close on the date you selected? Will it go up or down? Will it make a big move in either direction? Will it close within a certain range? You tell us!

How To Get Started

Sign Up

When you sign up you will have access to a personalized dashboard where you can track your performance in each of our games, see your total accumulation of Tendies, and access live leaderboards.

Receive Tickets

When you open you Stonker account you will receive seven tickets. You will receive an additional seven tickets each day (including holidays and weekends) at 4:00 PM New York time. Each ticket allows you to place one virtual bet in any one of our games. But don’t hoard tickets – if you have 15 more tickets at 4:00 PM New York time, you will not receive more.

Enter Your Virtual Bets

To start playing just select a game to play and use a ticket to place a virtual bet.

Track Your Virtual Bets

At the time a virtual bet is entered, its expected payout (or value) is exactly one Tendie. But the value of your virtual bet will change over time. If the stonk you selected moves in the direction you predicted, the value of your bet will tend to go up. If it moves in the opposite direction of what you predicted, the value of your bet will tend to go down. This will not always be the case, however, due to factors such as time decay and changes in volatility. See “For Option Geeks” under the Game Guide.

Close Out Virtual Bets When the Time is Right, or Not!

Be sure to check your account statement frequently to take advantage of opportunities in a constantly-changing market. A virtual bet can be closed out at any time, right up until the scheduled settlement time (4:00 PM New York time on the date chosen when the bet was made). When a virtual bet is closed out, you will receive a fraction of your ticket back, based on how much time is left until your virtual bet is scheduled to settle. Any additional value is paid to you in Tendies.

But don’t worry if you can’t or don’t want to close out. If you keep your bet until the scheduled settlement time, the final value of the virtual bet is paid to you in Tendies.

Each day when you sign into your stonker account you will receive tendies and tickets! You can also recieve rewards by inviting friends to play, posting your wins on social platforms, and more!
